This page contains useful information for those participating in our events.  The page is split into three sections.  The first contains the rules and guidelines used to regulate our league both on and off the pitch.  The second contains any useful documents for players and clubs such as league registration forms, team sheets and expense claim forms.  The third contains the minutes of any Annual or Extraordinary General Meetings.

Rules and Guidelines

  • Futsal Rules of Play (MS Word document)- This document contains all rules to be followed by players when on the field of play and to be enforced by our fully qualified referees. 
  • VIFL Rules and Guidelines - This document contains all rules and guidelines, other than those enforced on the field of play, to be followed by participants in VI football league events.

    Document Name When to use it?
    How to become registered to play in the BBS VI Football League Only players registered as visually impaired/partially sighted with their local social services AND holding an up to date British Blind Sport membership are able to participate in our events.  This document briefly explains how to go about becoming fully registered.
    British Blind Sport Membership Form All participants in the BBS VI Football League must have a valid BBS membership.  This runs annually and expires in March each year.  Player membership details are checked prior to each VI league event.  These forms should be sent direct to BBS head Office and NOT to the VIFL Management Committee.
    VI League Player Registration Form - MS Word Each player must also complete a form to register to play in the VI League.  This form includes a photograph and the information is used to make sure players only play for the club to which they are registered.  These forms should be sent to the Secretary of the VIFL Management Committee.  The form must be received at least two weeks prior to an event for a player to be eligible to participate.
    VI League Club Registration Form - MS Word These forms are used to enable each club to register to play in the league.  Clubs entering more than one team should complete a registration form for each team.  These forms also contain the names of all players registered to play for a particular club/team in the league.  The forms should be sent to the secretary of the VIFL management Committee.
    Team Sheet - MS Word This document must be completed prior to each league or cup event and should be handed in at the event itself during the pre-tournament registration period.  Only players listed on a team sheet can take to the field of play and only players with a valid BBS and VI league membership/registration can be listed on a team sheet.
    Expenses Claim Form - MS Word For certain events it is possible to claim travel expense from British Blind Sport.  Clubs will be notified when this is possible.  These forms should be sent to the Treasurer of the VIFL management Committee.
